Obituary of Jesse J. McDonald, Sr.

Jesse Joseph McDonald, Sr., age 84, of Hamburg, NY, passed away suddenly on April 1st, 2024 at 0930. Jesse was born on the 22nd of September 1939 to his parents, Jesse and Eileen McDonald in Buffalo, NY. His family was his greatest accomplishment. He was a loyal and deeply committed Mason for over 34 years. From 1992-1993 he was Master of Living Stone Lodge No. 255 in Colden, NY. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in golfing, fitness, and swimming for the majority of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, niece Karen Schultz, reading and biking. His family and friends will always remember him as a positive and loving influence on all in his presence.

He is survived by his son Jesse McDonald, daughters Kelly Maurer and Kathleen McDonald, daughter in law Rika McDonald, son in law John M. Alberti and grandchildren Ryan and Carly Maurer, Sydney and Jillian McDonald, Jennifer Marien, and Nicole Moeller. His sisters are Myra Schultz, Eileen Newton, and Kathy Kaminiski.

He is preceded in death by his sister Linda Kaye and his soulmate and loving wife Edna M. McDonald of Port Coulbourne, Ontario, Canada.

A Celebration of Life will be held on the 20th of April 2024 at Demmerly Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave, Hamburg, NY 14075. The wake will be from 1:00-3:00 PM followed by a memorial service from 3:00-4:00 PM.
