Age 87 of Hamburg, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Wife of the late Robert J Los. Former wife of the late Alvin W Loefke.  She is survived by her loving children Rev. William (Mary Anne) Nelson-Loefke and Candace (Allen) Smolinski; 9 grandchildren Allen J Smolinski Jr, Justin (Lyndsay) Smolinski, Jordan (Sarah) Smolinski, Jenna (Justin) Hassen, Hannah (Jacob) Brower,  Jonathan (Ceriena) Loefke, Andrew (Lisa) Loefke, Rebecca (Max) Thayer, Benjamin (Megan) Loefke, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Marie and Robert owned/operated the Robert J Los Insurance Agency located in Hamburg, NY until his passing in 2017. She then continued business operations and ownership of the agency with her daughter. Marie was a proud businesswoman, who spent over 35 years of her career writing liquor bonds in New York State. Marie was Worthy Matron of Arcana Chapter #146 OES in 1983-1984.  She was also a life member of Beulah Chapter #176 OES.  Her friends and family will forever cherish her memory; she will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 4-7pm at the Donald M Demmerley Funeral

Home, 21 Pierce Ave., Hamburg, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3487 N Boston Rd., Eden, NY.
