Ballard, Helen Jane (nee Dolan), age 86, of Hamburg, March 25, 2012. Wife of the late Matthew C. Ballard. Mother of Matthew J. (Doreen) Ballard, Denise (James) Godemann and Margaret Ann (John) Schmitt. Sister of the late Robert (Dolores) and Eugene (Dorothy) Dolan. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, Friday at 9:00 AM and from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Athol Springs at 9:30 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mrs. Ballard taught at Blasdell Elementary School and was a member of NYS Retired Teachers Association.
